When Mobile Marketing Works

I just got a "phone call". Caller ID said my brother was calling. But when I answered the phone, I was greeted by the dulcet tones of none other than Mr. Samuel L. Jackson, imploring me, in his subtle way, to see his soon-to-be-released masterpiece, opening in theaters nationwide on August 18th.

And yes, the film to which I refer is, of course, Snakes on a Plane.

Under normal circumstances, few things would annoy me more than fake celebrity phone calls, staged entirely for promotional purposes. But come on. SNAKES ON A PLANE.

Samuel L. Jackson might be the strongest brand in Hollywood right now.
